Updated 17 October 2026. Wi-Fi prices are typical 2026 rates. Type your ship in the GigSky app before you pay.
Ambassador Wi-Fi. On a cruise of 5 to 29 nights, Ambassador Basic is £8 a day, Value is £10, and Premium is £15. Basic is mail and WhatsApp. It does not open a normal web page. Premium is the one for films and video calls. A one-day Premium pass is £19.99. Buy the whole cruise in the first 24 hours. A cruise eSIM is one phone for sea days and the ports.
Ambassador’s cheap pack is not the internet. Basic is email and messages: WhatsApp, iMessage, Messenger. It does not open a normal page, and it does not open social. Value adds browsing and social. Premium adds a video call and films in standard picture, about 720p. A work VPN often will not connect. BBC iPlayer often will not play.
The daily price depends on how long the cruise is, and you get the low rate if you buy the whole sailing in the first 24 hours. On a trip of 5 to 29 nights, that is £8, £10, or £15 a day. A short cruise of 1 to 4 nights is £10, £12, or £17. A month or more gets cheaper still. A one-day pass is £11.99, £13.99, or £19.99. Seven days of Premium at the week rate is £105. Seven day-passes is about £140.
There is also a data pack, Premium only. 1GB is £19.95. 5GB is £59.95. Suites can include a Wi-Fi pack already. The level depends on the room. Ask before you pay for something you have. The ship Wi-Fi still ends when you walk off.
Basic will not open a map
If you only text family, Basic is enough. If you want a news page, Instagram, or Google, that is Value. If you will watch something or take a video call, that is Premium.
One pack is one device at a time. Switch when you need the laptop. Two phones online together means two packs. Two Premium weeks is £210.
Ambience, Ambition, Renaissance
Type the ship. Ambience, Ambition, or Renaissance. Most weeks from the UK want Cruise & Europe. A Caribbean week wants Cruise & Americas.
This is Ambassador Cruise Line, the UK ships. It is not a river boat and not P&O. If GigSky does not list the ship, stop. Maya is the backup, code ESIMTWEAKS10.
When ship Wi-Fi still wins
Buy Premium if the cabin will watch films or take video calls. Buy Value if you want pages and social. Buy it for the whole cruise, in the first day, not as day passes.
When the Ambassador eSIM wins
You want WhatsApp on a sea day and maps in port, on one phone, without a second Ambassador pack. That is the Ambassador eSIM. Code ESIMDUDE is 10% off GigSky. It does not discount the ship Wi-Fi.
