Updated 17 October 2026. Wi-Fi prices are typical 2026 rates. Type your ship in the GigSky app before you pay.
Explora Wi-Fi. Explora Wi-Fi is free. Starlink, in the suite and around the ship. Explora I, II, and III. There is no day rate. It can drop in some stretches of ocean. It does not follow you off the ship. A cruise eSIM is the phone you take into town.
You should not see a Wi-Fi line on an Explora bill. The fare includes high-speed Wi-Fi. It runs on Starlink. It is in the suite, and it is in the rooms you walk through. If someone offers you a paid pack, stop and ask. You may already have it.
It is not magic in every ocean. In some stretches the signal slows, or it drops. That is the ship, not your phone. Walk up from an inside corner before you decide it is broken. A film may work on a good day and stall on a bad one. Do not plan a work call for the middle of a long sea day.
This is Explora Journeys, the MSC Group’s luxury ships. It is not MSC Cruises. The packs are not the same. MSC still sells a day rate. Explora does not. The Wi-Fi still ends at the gangway. Maps in port are a different job.
Three ships, one rule
Explora I, Explora II, and Explora III are the ships sailing in 2026. III joined in the summer. Type the Roman numeral on the ticket. A Mediterranean week wants Cruise & Europe. A Caribbean week wants Cruise & Americas.
If GigSky does not list the ship, stop. Do not buy a random “Mediterranean” eSIM and hope. Maya is the backup, code ESIMTWEAKS10.
Do not pay twice
Drinks, tips, and Wi-Fi are already in the fare. The thing that is not included is the town. The ship network stays on the ship.
One phone for WhatsApp at sea and maps on the pier is the eSIM. It will not replace a film in the suite on a strong day. It will still work when you walk off.
When ship Wi-Fi still wins
Use the included Wi-Fi for mail, calls, and a film when the signal is good. There is no pack to buy.
When the Explora eSIM wins
You want maps the moment you leave the ship. That is the Explora eSIM. Code ESIMDUDE is 10% off GigSky. It does not change the included ship Wi-Fi.

Type the name on your boarding pass. If it isn’t in the GigSky app, don’t buy from a screenshot. The free 100 MB trial is how you prove it after the horn.

Explora eSIM FAQ
Is Wi-Fi free on Explora Journeys?
Yes. High-speed Wi-Fi is in the fare, in the suite and in public rooms. The ships use Starlink. There is no day rate.
Which Explora ships have Wi-Fi?
Explora I, Explora II, and Explora III. The signal can slow down, or drop, in some parts of the ocean.
Is Explora the same as MSC?
No. Explora is the luxury line. MSC Cruises still sells Wi-Fi by the day. Do not buy an MSC pack for an Explora ship.
Does an Explora eSIM work at sea?
A normal travel eSIM dies about 12 miles out. A GigSky cruise plan works on ships GigSky lists, then on local towers in port. Search the ship by name.
What is the Explora eSIM coupon?
ESIMDUDE. Ten percent off GigSky cruise and ferry plans. It does not discount Explora, because the ship Wi-Fi is already included.
