Updated 17 October 2026. Wi-Fi prices are typical 2026 rates. Type your ship in the GigSky app before you pay.
Silversea Wi-Fi. Silversea includes Standard Wi-Fi in every suite. Premium is free in a Medallion suite and higher, and free in every suite on a full World Cruise or Grand Voyage. In a Vista, Panorama, or Veranda suite, the Premium upgrade is about $29 a day. Ask on the ship before you buy the week. The Wi-Fi stops at the gangway. A cruise eSIM is for the ports.
Silversea splits the Wi-Fi in two. Standard is in every suite. You can read mail, send a message, and open a normal page. Premium is the one for films, social posts, and a voice or video call. You change the package on your own phone once you are on board.
The room decides which one you already have. On the classic ships, a Medallion suite and higher includes Premium. That list is Medallion, Junior Grand, Premium Medallion, Silver, Royal, Grand, Signature, Otium, Master's, and Owner's. A Vista, Panorama, or Veranda suite includes Standard only. On the expedition ships, apart from Silver Origin, Premium is free from Medallion up, and Vista and Veranda stay on Standard. Silver Origin gives Premium from Medallion up, and Standard in a Veranda suite.
A full World Cruise or a full Grand Voyage is the odd one out. Every suite on that whole voyage gets Premium for free. A short slice of a world cruise is not the same thing. Ask before you assume the films are included. If the Wi-Fi drops, you do not get the money back.
When the $29 upgrade applies
If your suite already includes Premium, do not buy an upgrade. You already have the top one. The speed can still dip when the ship is full, or when you are a long way from land.
If you are in a Vista, Panorama, or Veranda suite and you want films, the upgrade is about $29 a day. Ask on the ship before you buy the week. Seven days is about $203 for one person. Two people is about $406. That is a ship charge. The GigSky code does not touch it.
Silver Nova, Silver Ray, and the ice ships
Type the name on the ticket. Ocean ships: Silver Nova, Silver Ray, Silver Dawn, Silver Moon, Silver Muse, Silver Spirit, Silver Whisper, Silver Shadow. Expedition ships: Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Origin.
A Mediterranean week wants Cruise & Europe. The Caribbean or Alaska wants Cruise & Americas. Antarctica and a long world route want the World pack. If GigSky does not list the ship, stop. Maya is the backup, code ESIMTWEAKS10.
When ship Wi-Fi still wins
Use the included Standard Wi-Fi for mail and messages. Use Premium if your suite already has it, or if you are on a full World Cruise. Buy the upgrade only if you will watch films or take video calls from a lower suite.
When the Silversea eSIM wins
You want maps in port, on your own phone, the moment you leave the ship. The ship Wi-Fi does not walk down the gangway. That is the Silversea eSIM. Code ESIMDUDE is 10% off GigSky. It does not discount the Premium upgrade.

How much is Silversea Premium Wi-Fi?

ESIMDUDE. Ten percent off GigSky cruise and ferry plans. It does not discount Silversea’s Premium upgrade.
