Frontier Airlines does not have Wi-Fi in 2026. It is not free, and it is not paid. There is no internet on the plane at all.
Frontier Miles will not unlock it. A credit card will not buy it. I have checked the Wi-Fi list on flights through Denver, Dallas and Fort Lauderdale. The list stays empty every time. Download a film before you leave home, and charge your phone at the gate. There is nothing to join once the door closes.
There are no screens in the seats and no plugs either. Starlink is planned for early 2027. They have not said whether you will pay when it arrives. If you are flying to a cruise, that is the part you can still plan. The plane will not keep you online. The ship will try to charge you twenty to forty-nine dollars a day, and that Wi-Fi dies when you walk ashore.
No. Not on the A320s. Not on the A321s. Not on the morning flight to Orlando or the night flight to Las Vegas. I have sat in 12C and watched people open Settings again and again. The Wi-Fi was never put on these planes.
Southwest, American and Alaska now give free Wi-Fi if you join their club. Frontier is different. Frontier Miles helps with fares and bags. It will not give you WhatsApp over Oklahoma. If someone in the next seat says “try FrontierWiFi,” they are thinking of another airline.
The plan is simple. Download what you need before the door closes. Then download a book as well, in case the first file fails. You will not get a second chance in the air.
There is nothing to buy, so there is no price. You cannot pay $8. You cannot buy an hour pass. I have watched people take a card out at 12,000 feet, the way they would on Southwest. The Wi-Fi page never opens. The card goes back in the pocket.

What the week actually costs

On Southwest and American, the free club is how you get Wi-Fi. On Frontier the club does not touch the internet, because there is none. Miles are for fares, seats and bags. They are not a password. I have watched people join from the seat hoping a Wi-Fi page would appear. It does not. Save the account for a cheaper fare. Do not make a password for a network that was never built.
You cannot. The steps below are here because people search “how to connect to Frontier Wi-Fi.” The honest version still helps you stay online on the rest of the trip.
Turning off a VPN or Private Relay will not help here. Those tricks are for airlines that have a Wi-Fi page, such as American or Southwest. Frontier never fitted the hardware. Sit down and use what you already saved on the phone.
This happens every week. The gate has Wi-Fi. A lounge has Wi-Fi. Even the café by the gate has Wi-Fi. The plane does not. Download on the way to the airport, not nine minutes before the door closes. Airport Wi-Fi often slows down at that moment, and the boarding-pass PDF is the one file you actually need.
Screenshot the boarding pass. Screenshot the cruise app. You cannot scan a WhatsApp code in the air. If work Slack matters, tell them you will be offline until you land in Florida.
Files you already saved. A book. A talk with the person next to you. The window. On a Denver to Orlando flight I watched the whole cabin learn this at once. Phones went face-down after the third empty scan. It is not a broken antenna. Frontier never bought the Wi-Fi.

People often miss this after they accept the Wi-Fi news. The seat has no plug. No AC. No USB. A four-hour Denver to Fort Lauderdale flight with a dying phone means you land with a brick, a cruise to board, and a taxi driver you cannot text. I carry a power bank in the small bag on this airline, the same way I carry a passport. Charge at the gate before you board.
A last-minute plane swap will not save you. An A320 and an A321 are the same empty ceiling. The app will show the aircraft type. It will not show Wi-Fi. Trust the empty list more than an old forum post that said they were adding it soon.
Frontier announced Starlink in July 2026. The first fitted planes are expected in early 2027, then the rest of the fleet. When it arrives it should be fast enough to stream. What they have not said is whether you will pay. This is an airline that charges for a bag, a seat and a drink. I would not assume Starlink will be free. I also will not invent a price. They have not published one.
Until a boarding pass actually shows Wi-Fi, treat every Frontier flight as offline. Do not wait in Denver for a Starlink A320. It is not flying yet. When it is, this page will change. Until then, download the film.
It is working as designed. The design is: none. The usual fixes from other airlines — airplane mode, a private window, turning off a VPN, typing a Wi-Fi address — are for a Wi-Fi page. Frontier does not have one. Asking the crew to restart the system will not help. They cannot restart hardware that was never bought.
If a work call cannot fail, pick a different airline for that hour. Download the file. I still book Frontier to Florida when the fare is the point. I just do not expect the internet.
Denver to Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale is two flights. Both are offline. The only Wi-Fi you will see is at the layover. Download again at the gate if you used the battery on the first film. A trip with a stop is not two bills. It is two quiet cabins and one chance to charge if you are lucky.
Cancún, San Juan, Montego Bay, Punta Cana and the Florida ports are the flights I actually care about on this airline. The plane does not get Wi-Fi because the water looks pretty. Over the Gulf the phone is as dead as it was over Kansas. When you land, the plane Wi-Fi is not “over.” It never started. Roaming on your home SIM in a Mexican taxi is how people come home to a $400 bill. That is a normal travel eSIM job if you are staying in town. If the next vehicle is a ship, keep reading.

Other airlines split these into two products: a library in the ceiling, and the open web. Frontier has neither. No seatback. No streaming app. No live TV. The window is the entertainment. I am not being cute. I have done DEN–SJU with a novel and a bag of pretzels I paid for, and it was fine, and I would still like you to know that before you board with an empty camera roll and a plan to “just stream.”
JetBlue still just gives it to everyone. Delta and Southwest hide it behind a free club. American caught up on price and still has older 777s. United has the Starlink planes. Alaska is a lucky dip with a new name on the login. Frontier is the control group. I put it last in every table I write because the honest row is short.

A lot of people who type “Frontier Airlines Wi-Fi” the night before a trip are going to a ship. Denver to Fort Lauderdale. Las Vegas to Miami. Phoenix to Tampa. Atlanta to Orlando. A cheap fare into San Juan or Cancún, then the gangway. I have done that walk: the jetway, the humid curb, a taxi, then a ship that charges twenty to forty-nine dollars a day for each phone.
