Updated 17 October 2026. Wi-Fi prices are typical 2026 rates. Type your ship in the GigSky app before you pay.
Royal Caribbean Wi-Fi. VOOM is about $20–28 a device a day. Two phones for a week is roughly $280–390. A GigSky cruise eSIM is one checkout, about $63 after code ESIMDUDE, for WhatsApp and maps. It is not cabin Netflix.
Royal’s Starlink Wi-Fi is genuinely good now. That’s the problem. It works, so they charge like a monopoly. One phone on VOOM for a week is cabin money. Two phones is a shore-excursion budget.
A Royal Caribbean eSIM is not VOOM. GigSky stays up after the horn, then flips to a local tower when you walk into Nassau. WhatsApp, maps, photos. Not cabin Netflix.
CocoCay is a sea day. Perfect Day is still the ship’s network, not a Bahamian one. Don’t buy a land eSIM for it. Search your exact ship in the GigSky app before you pay. Harmony is not “all Oasis.”
Royal Caribbean Wi-Fi vs a cruise eSIM
VOOM is the ship’s Wi-Fi. Priced per device, per day, and it is the thing you want if the cabin will stream. A Royal Caribbean eSIM is the phone in your pocket. WhatsApp, maps in Nassau, photos off the sailaway. Mixing those two is how the Royal forums lose their patience.
If you only need WhatsApp, maps in Nassau, and photos off the sailaway, you do not need VOOM on every phone. Put GigSky on one. Hotspot if you must. Keep VOOM on the iPad if the kids will watch movies.
Which GigSky plan for a Royal Caribbean cruise
Caribbean and Bahamas weeks want Cruise & Americas. Mediterranean weeks want Cruise & Europe. Alaska is still Americas. World cruises are the World pack. Confirm Harmony, Icon, Wonder, Oasis, Utopia — the exact name — in the GigSky app.
Promo code ESIMDUDE is the eSIM cruise coupon. Ten percent off. The button already has the code. The 100 MB trial is free and tells you the truth after the horn.
Icon, Harmony, Wonder — and the ships that go missing
Oasis-class and Icon-class are the ships people find. Harmony, Wonder, Allure, Symphony, Utopia, Icon. Independence and the older names are the coin-flip. Type the word on your SeaPass, not “Royal Caribbean eSIM.”
CocoCay is still the ship’s network. Perfect Day is not a Bahamian tower. If GigSky doesn’t list your ship, Maya is the runner-up — different coupon, ESIMTWEAKS10. Don’t buy from a screenshot of a different ship.
When ship Wi-Fi still wins
If the whole cabin will stream movies, keep VOOM on one device. Icon and Oasis-class Starlink is the ship’s Wi-Fi. GigSky is a phone plan.
When the Royal Caribbean eSIM wins
WhatsApp with family, maps in Nassau, posting the sailaway, a little work on a sea day. That’s the cruise eSIM. Treat CocoCay as water. Install the night before, on hotel Wi-Fi, not at the gangway.

Royal Caribbean eSIM FAQ
Does a Royal Caribbean eSIM work at sea?
A regular travel eSIM does not. A GigSky cruise plan does, on Royal ships GigSky lists, after the 12-mile line. Search Harmony, Icon, Wonder, Oasis in the app.
Is GigSky cheaper than Royal Caribbean Wi-Fi?
For phones, yes. VOOM is $20–28 a device a day. A week of Cruise & Americas 5 GB is about $63 after ESIMDUDE. If everyone streams, VOOM still wins.
Will this work at CocoCay?
Treat Perfect Day as a sea day. You’re still on the ship’s network, not a Bahamian tower. That’s why the cruise plan matters and a land eSIM does not.
What is the Royal Caribbean eSIM coupon?
ESIMDUDE. Ten percent off GigSky cruise and ferry plans, including Cruise & Americas for Royal ships.
Does an eSIM work on Icon of the Seas?
Search Icon of the Seas in GigSky. If it’s listed, the cruise plan works after the 12-mile line. If it isn’t, don’t buy from a blog screenshot.
