Films are the streaming upgrade. On a cruise shorter than 30 days it is about $20 a login a day. On a trip of 30 days or more it is about $15. A Signature suite and higher already includes streaming on all four logins. A third or fourth person in the room can cost more than the first two. Ask before you buy a week of films. Seven nights for two logins at $20 is about $280. That is a ship charge. The GigSky code does not touch it.
The lounge can be faster than the cabin. In some ports the ship signal goes quiet. Cape Town, Phuket, Hong Kong, and a run of stops in Egypt, India, and Vietnam are on that list. Once you are on the pier, a local signal is the useful one. Do not switch on your home SIM and hope. That bill is yours, not Regent’s.
Two logins, then the film upgrade
A couple in a veranda fits the two free logins. Use them for mail and WhatsApp. Buy streaming only on the device that will watch films. Log out when you switch from phone to laptop.
Gold club members and above get four logins, even in a lower suite. If you already have four, do not pay for extra logins you do not need. Signature suites do not need the film upgrade at all.
Grandeur, Splendor, Explorer
Type the ship. Grandeur, Splendor, Explorer, Voyager, Mariner, or Navigator. A Mediterranean week wants Cruise & Europe. The Caribbean wants Cruise & Americas. A long world route wants the World pack.
